TL DR Automation Clips aren't doing anything, can't figure out how to fix, couldn't find anything on the internet about it. Also sorry for the bad formatting, I'm typing this from my phone. Any help to resolve this issue would make my week as I could finally get back to making music after months of not being able to work properly. There's no need to attach any media really as the problem itself is pretty simple, there's nothing I can show you really. I've tried just about everything I could think of in the program, mind you I've been using this DAW since FL Studio 8, so, more than ten years now I believe. Before you tell me to Google it or search the official FL Studio help forum, I've looked up everything I could find for weeks now, I didn't even come across anyone having the same problem. I mainly need the automation for Serum and effects, it doesn't work on either of those. I can create automation clips, I can edit them, they just don't do anything, most of the time they just turn the knob I'm trying to automate to zero. No matter if I create the clip via right click or the tools>last tweaked section, nothing works. Again, any help would be greatly appreciated, I'll paypal 5 bucks to whoever has a solution (if paypal let's me send money to your country) My older Windows only plug-ins are still freely available in the following pack, which contains Glitch 1.3, Crusher, Stretch, and TapeStop. It's like the VST, in my case Serum (and stuff like fruity reverb) isn't receiving any signal from the automation clip in the Playlist. Anyone who's an expert with glitch please chime in and show me a better way to use this.Important edit: It turns out I can automate stuff like audio clip volume and project Tempo, just not anything inside VSTs and effects. Then I export and it'll sound messed up again. Then I'll play it again, and everything will sound fine. It will show that the automation is on, but the effects won't play.
I have the FX button lit up in the mixer channel so I know that's not the problem, but the strangest part of it is the fact that while I'm listening to playback in the playlist, the effects will work only about HALF OF THE TIME.
wav the effects either will be non existant, or only half of them will play. For some reason the last couple tracks I've tried this on something isn't right.
So far I've used this on about 10 tracks with no problems. after playing with it a bit I've learned how to automate it in FL 9 to create the tapestop effect as well as a gating effect I use frequently on pads.
